About Me
I live in McHenry, IL with my husband of 30 years. We have 2 children, Scott (29) , and Kim (27) who lives in Wonder Lake with her husband Andy. We have a 2 cat, Odie and Webster.
I am a second career teacher. I returned to school when my children were in middle school. I earned my degree in 2005 from Carthage College in Kenosha, WI. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Education with a minor in communications. I began working at Big Hollow in 2006 as the computer teacher. In 2007, with the loss of specials, I became a collaborative teacher in 4th grade. I was assigned to a 4th grade classroom in 2008.
I am a life-long learner and as part of that, I received my Masters degree in Educational Technology in 2011. I continued taking classes to receive my certification as an Educational Technology Specialist.
I have been known to try different technologies in the classroom before sharing them with other teachers. This has helped classroom teachers to easily integrate technology into their classrooms as well. I hope to continue this in the future.
Communication is an essential part of learning, learning to communicate is an important step in education. Feel free to contact me by phone, e-mail, or stopping in after school.
I am looking forward to a great year with your student.
Classroom Rules Our classroom rules are very basic:
